Although serious complications and adverse effects of dry needling are relatively rare, leading dry needling instructors in Europe and the United States have agreed that a central registration system for serious complications and adverse reactions to dry needling is desirable. The Swiss Dry Needling Association is the central location to file any adverse reactions to dry needling. Practitioners, including physical therapists/physiotherapists, physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and other healthcare providers are encouraged to voluntarily and anonymously report any serious serious complications and adverse reactions to dry needling using the form below.
